Mountain Party Hopeful to Debate Nader & McKinney at Calif. Green Party Presidential Debate

Charleston, WV - The WV Mountain Party's own Jesse Johnson will be debating fellow undeclared candidate Ralph Nader and declared Green presidential hopeful former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and others at the historic Herbst Theatre in San Francisco this Sunday January 13th at 2:00PM.
Johnson, who ran as the party’s gubernatorial candidate in 2004 and as a candidate for US Senate in 2006 is currently the Party’s Chairman. He has been testing the waters around the country to access the viability of a run for the Green Party’s presidential slot.
"I’ve been to many states to bring the message that WV is ‘ground zero" in the global climate debate. Mountaintop Removal is still a term that Greens in others state have not heard of and I’m working to change that situation as I speak across the nation," said Johnson. Johnson just returned from Minneapolis where he addressed state Green Party members at their convention.

– which will also be the candidates placed on the Mountain Party’s fall ballot in WV.This NORTHERN CALIFORNIA GREEN PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE is expected to draw Greens from all over the nation will be moderated by Cindy Sheehan and others.
The event will kick-off with a 1:00 pm Press conference.
